ADA HUBBARD
Ada Mae Hubbard, 86, of Louise, died on July 28, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hubbard was born on Jan. 21, 1926 in Sunflower County to Fred Clayton and Annie Maw Smith. She was Catholic and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram W. Hubbard and son, Hiram “Hiby” Hubbard.
Survivors include her three daughters, Janet Davenport and Fredy Jean Hunter, both of Louise and Linda Faye Hubbard of Yazoo City; sons, William Keith “Bill” Hubbard of Holly Bluff and Ronnie Hubbard of Louise; sister, Betty Kafury of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

REBECCA REED
Rebecca Reed, 51, of Yazoo City, died on July 16, 2012.
Funeral services were held on July 28 at New Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church with Rev. Gregory Robertson officiating. Burial followed at Cypress Garden under the direction of Scott Memorial Funeral Home.
Ms. Reed was born on April 17, 1961 to the late J.D. Reed and Arletta Maple-Reed. She joined New Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Reed; and special friend, Willie Wilson.
Survivors include her daughter, Lakeshia (Willie) Reed-Jones; two grandchildren, Harvierr Brown and Haden Reed; adopted grandchild, Dajona Reed; sisters, Rosie Reed and Willie Maw Watts; brothers, James Reed and Alvin Reed; and a host of family and friends.
Honorary and active pallbearers were family and friends.

MARY SMITH

Mary Elaine Smith, 38, died on July 20, 2012.
Funeral services were held on July 28 at New Zion M.B. Church with Rev. Willie Smith officiating. Burial followed at Morning Star Cemetery in Eden under the direction of Scott Memorial Funeral Home.
Ms. Smith was born on April 19, 1974 to Mary Emma Smith and Lynell Smith. She received her education in the Yazoo City School District and graduated in 1992. She found her true love with James Lewis, who she spent 18 years with until her death.
She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Lonnie Jackson; and a grandchild.
Survivors include her special friend, James Lewis of Charlotte, N.C.; father, Lynell Smith Sr.; six children, Qyteria, Darrius, J’donceya, Anaisheya Smith, Dameyun and Damontra Lewis, all of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Barbara Nellums, Diann Thompson, Lisa Smith and Faye Smith, all of Yazoo City; brothers, Willie Jackson of Dallas, Lennell Smith Jr. of Pearia Ill. and Jeffery Smith of Yazoo City; two grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Lynell Smith Sr., Lennell Smith Jr., Jeffery Smith, Darris Smith, James Lewis and J’donceya Smith.
Pallbearers were the YCHS Class of 1992.


JUNIUS TAYLOR JR.
Junius Taylor Jr., 75, died on July 21, 2012 at the Riverview Nursing Home in Greenwood.
Funeral services were held on July 28 at Trinity M.B. Church in Lexington with Pastor Dan March Sr. officiating. Burial followed at the Liston Family Cemetery under the direction of Century Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born on Aug. 24, 1936 in Tallulah, La. to the late Junius Taylor Sr. and Gladys Jones Taylor. He went to school in Tallulah and began his working career very early. His jobs ranged from farm work, truck driving and car salesman before he became a security guard at Kansas City International Airport.
Survivors include two daughters, Eloise Taylor of Kansas City and Mary Taylor of Lexington; three sons, Leon Taylor (Shannon) of Kansas City, Joseph Taylor of Kansas City and Johnny Taylor of Detroit; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Leon Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Andre Smiley, Corey Taylor, Torey Taylor and Ricky Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Trinity M.B. Church.
