Yazoo man charged with child abuse

FielderFielderBy JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

A Yazoo City man is charged with felony child abuse after allegedly shaking an infant so violently that it caused major head trauma.
Grady Fielder III, 42 of 50 Banks Lane, was arrested by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department after a two month investigation.
Tommy Irvine, chief investigator, said he conducted a thorough investigation along with medical examiners and the Department of Human Services.
“Any time there is an incident involving a child,  we are going to be looking at everything very closely,” Irvine said. “The evidence clearly suggests that this child was abused.”
