Superintendent says test scores are unacceptable

By VERNON SIKES
Herald Correspondent

Dr. Arthur Cartlidge, superintendent of the Yazoo City Municipal School District, said last school year's state testing scores are in, but they are far from good.
“Point blank, we didn't make the grade,” he said. “It's just that simple. I make no excuses for it.”
Cartlidge said the scores are currently embargoed.
