County schools plan budget for rising costs, unfunded mandates

With only two individuals in the audience, the Yazoo County School Board hosted their 2012-2013 public budget hearing Tuesday evening.
As explained by Superintendent Becky Fisher, the district has projected that the 2012-13 school year's total expenditures of $17,383,064.13 will exceed the total revenues of $17,020,834.08 by $362,230.05.
