ANN SHEPHERD
Ann Carter Shepherd, 78, died Monday, July 2, 2012.  
Funeral services were Thursday at Glenwood Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shepherd was born Sept. 23, 1933 in Oklahoma to Gail and Jimmy Carter. She graduated from Oklahoma A & M with a degree in music. She lived for many years in Houston, Texas where she was a successful and respected real estate broker.  Ann had a life-long love of flowers and was a member of the Houston Garden Club and later the Tyler Texas garden club where she won several design awards. Ann was an active member of the Tyler, Texas chapter of the DAR.  In 2010 she moved to Yazoo City to be near her daughter.
Survivors include a daughter Susan Carroll (Kip) of Yazoo City, a son Bill Shepherd (Lynn) of Lewisville, Texas, sisters Vesta June Snelson of Lawton, Okla. and  Ginny Wynn (Bob) of Oklahoma City and grandchildren Frances Carroll and Clifton Carroll of Yazoo City.
