Community unity event set for Friday at McCoy Elementary

By JASLYN SNOW
The Yazoo Herald

Facebook is designed to help find long lost friends and relatives and give them the opportunity to reconnect and keep in touch. And this is exactly what it has done for a group of Yazooans.
Thelma Howard, a former resident of Yazoo City, established a Yazoo City page on Facebook just to reunite with some old friends and classmates. She had no idea that it would later develop into a community-wide event.
This Friday, from 6-10 p.m. at McCoy Elementary School, the Yazoo community will have an opportunity to reconnect with current and former Yazooans through a unity community fest, “Let The Good Times Roll.”
