Sheriff’s Department makes drug arrests

By JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

A Jackson man forgot to stash his drug paraphernalia when he drove up to a sheriff’s department roadblock over the weekend.
Ernest Collier of Jackson was arrested at a checkpoint being conducted at the intersection of Miss. Highway 16 and U.S. 49 by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department Saturday.
Sgt. Jack Willingham said Collier appeared to be under the influence of drugs when he spoke to deputies. Then they noticed he had drug paraphernalia on his console.
