The Yazoo Chapter NSDAR commemorates the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the War of 1812 by presenting two books about the war to Ricks Memorial Library: Battle for the Southern Frontier by Mike Dunn and Clay Williams and 1812- The Navy’s War by George C. Daughan. Accepting the books from Yazoo Chapter Regent JoAnne Collins and Yazoo Chapter Vice-Regent Priscilla Harper is John E. Ellzey, Reference and Local History Librarian of Rick Memorial Library. Come to the library and check out some books about this war as well as pick up a brochure about the history of the Star Spangled Banner and a bookmark about the War of 1812.
