The Yazoo Retired Education Personnel Association met May 24 in the D.D. Waiver building at the Warren-Yazoo Mental Health Complex.
The meeting was called to order by vice president Dr. Elouise Upchurch.
Virginia Scott led the group in singing “The More We Get Together.”  The devotional was given by Clementine Davis.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
The minutes were read and approved.  On June 14 the association will have a birthday party for residents at Oasis.
The program was to welcome retirees who received an invitation.  Mrs. Satie Knox who retired from the Yazoo City Public School’s cafeteria department was welcomed.  Dr. Upchurch reported on the purposes the group strives to accomplish.
Door prizes were awarded and refreshments were enjoyed.
