Volunteer firefighters spent close to 12 hours battling a house fire in the Dover community over the weekend.
Members of the Bentonia, Tri-Community and Benton volunteer fire departments arrived at the home of Mark and Douglass Williams around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
“When we all arrived, there was heavy smoke with fire breaking out into the eaves of the house,” said Bentonia Police Chief Edward “Tra” Ferrell.
Ferrell said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no injuries. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
