The Board of Supervisors took action Monday that they hope will end the dispute with Yazoo City officials over the E911 interlocal agreement.
“We’re not going to participate in this circus,” said Cobie Collins, board president.
The county is sending a letter to city officials stating that it will pay $4,500 for the trash pit and accept $15,000 monthly for E911. These are the contributions both entities currently pay.
If the city wishes to terminate the interlocal agreement with the county on E911 on Sept. 30, the county will also cease collecting taxes for the city.
