You are hereby notified that sealed proposals to lease for oil, gas and mineral exploration and development each of the above described Sixteenth Section lands may be filed separately with the Superintendent of Education of the Yazoo County School District, 651 E. 15th Street, Yazoo City, Mississippi 39194, on or before 4:00 P.M., on the 5th day of June, 2012, and you are invited to submit sealed bids specifying the bonus to be paid by the lessee for said lease. The minimum amount for bonus will be $50.00 per acre. EACH OF THE ABOVE SIXTEENTH SECTIONS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SEPARATE BIDDING. EACH BID FOR EACH SIXTEENTH SECTION MUST BE SUBMITTED ON ALL OF THAT PARTICULAR SIXTEENTH SECTION AS A SINGLE TRACT, AND BIDS ON LESS THAN THE WHOLE SIXTEENTH SECTION WILL BE REJECTED. The form of the oil, gas and mineral lease for each of the above sixteenth sections as prescribed by said Board of Education and the terms so prescribed, including the royalty to be retained by the lessor, the annual rental to be paid by the lessee, and the primary term of the lease, is now on file and available for inspection in the office of the Superintendent of Education of the Yazoo County School District, 651 E. 15th Street, Yazoo City, Mississippi 39194, where it may be inspected by all interested parties. The sealed bids submitted for each sixteenth section will be opened at 6:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as conveniently possible, on the 5th day of June, 2012, at a regular meeting of the Board of Education for said School District at the Yazoo County Supervisors Board Room in the Chancery Annex to the Courthouse at 211 East Broadway, Yazoo City, Mississippi. Note that bids must be submitted to the Superintendent of Education at 651 E. 15th Street, Yazoo City, Mississippi, but bids will be opened at the Yazoo County Supervisors Board Room at 211 East Broadway, Yazoo City, Mississippi. All bids shall specify the sixteenth section to which the bid applies and shall be tendered and expressed as a total dollar amount and in dollar amount per mineral acre for that particular section. Each bid must be on the form prescribed and available from the office of the Superintendent of Education. Each bid must be for a single sixteenth section, but each bidder may submit separate bids in separate envelopes for one or more of the above sixteenth sections, and the Board will consider the bids for each sixteenth section separately. The Board reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids; but if any bid for a particular sixteenth section is accepted, the Board will award said oil, gas and mineral lease on that sixteenth section to the highest bidder on that sixteenth section in the manner provided by law.

RESOURCE CENTER
Mississippi Department of Human Services
The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS), Division of Economic Assistance, will accept proposals during business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. CT until May 9, 2012, for the purpose of soliciting proposals from interested parties who can most effectively and cost-efficiently administer a Families First Resource Center (FFRC) in the northern or southern region of Mississippi. Proposals will be accepted from currently funded FFRCs, as well as, organizations with the capacity, competence and experience to accomplish the program goals and objectives identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP) packet. The Program shall provide a variety of family support services which shall increase the parents’ skills and knowledge to enhance/strengthen their ability to respond to their children in a positive manner, stabilize the family unit, and prevent serious disruptions in family life. The Program shall also provide abstinence-until-marriage and youth development education services that have been proven successful in preventing teenage pregnancies and helping youth achieve positive goals without being influenced by other risky behaviors. All services shall be provided at no charge to the youth and their families.
The proposal shall demonstrate how the following services will be successfully implemented in multiple counties within the designated region:
1. Abstinence-Until-Marriage and Youth Development Education
2. Parenting Skills Training
A mandatory letter of intent shall be submitted by 2: 00 p.m. CT by May 3, 2012. All letters of intent and proposals shall be directed to:
