The Lintonia Garden Club met April 25 in the Public Service building conference room. In the absence of the club president, Dianne Collins, second vice president, called the meeting to order. Plans were made for the May outing to Mostly Martha’s in Ridgeland.
Mrs. Collins reminded club members of several upcoming events in the area of interest to gardeners. A report was given of the five awards received by Lintonia Garden Club at the state convention. The club also received two awards from the Deep South Region.
Because the guest speaker, David Hawkins of Forest, could not attend, the meeting concluded with club members enjoying refreshments provided by this month’s hostesses, Donna Powell and Peggy Saxton. Dianne Collins won the door prize, a beautiful hanging basket of petunias.
