Lewis visits with local Girl Scouts
The Yazoo City Girl Scout Troops 5362, 5488 and 5497 recently received a visit from Fire Marshal Kenny Lewis who discussed fire safety. Special to The Herald
Yazoo City Girl Scout Troops 5362, 5488, and 5497 recently assembled at American Legion Post No. 7 to learn about safety.
Fire Marshall Kenny Lewis presented the scouts with valuable information on fire safety including why one should sleep with the bedroom door closed, the proper use of a fire extinguisher, and the importance of keeping and checking smoke detectors in the home.
Lewis engaged the scouts in an important question and answer session and stressed the significance of getting out of any building that is on fire. He also encouraged all the Scouts to sign up for the yearly fire safety course that is given in June.
The scouts wish to thank Lewis for volunteering his time and showing a genuine concern for the citizens of Yazoo. They also thank Legionnaires of Post No. 7 who always keep their doors open for the Girl Scouts to meet.
