Miss Deer to wed Jenkins on June 2

Miss Samantha Deer and Thomas JenkinsMiss Samantha Deer and Thomas JenkinsSammy and Pamela Deer, formerly of Yazoo City, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Jeanne Deer, to Thomas Wesley Jenkins, son of James and Mary Jenkins of Clinton.
The bride-elect attended Manchester Academy, Holmes Community College and Delta State University. She earned a degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in business. She is employed at the Salvation Army as an accounting services specialist.
The prospective bridegroom attended Clinton High School and Mississippi College. He earned a degree in business adminstration. He is a certified fraud examiner and is employed at the Salvation Army as a senior interior auditor.
The couple will be married on June 2, 2012 at 5 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Rev. Ron Jenkins and Kerry Jenkins will officiate the double ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the Capital Club in downtown Jackson.
