Downtown Yazoo City will be filled with the sounds of good music and the scent of delicious food as the Jerry Clower Festival returns for an eighth year.
The event begins at 9 a.m. with the Texaco Country Showdown. Musical acts are schedule throughout the day with Back 40 taking the stage at 6 p.m. and Southern Justice closing out the night beginning at 7 p.m. Local favorites Jamie Isonhood and Joe Henry Smith will also perform.
The festival features the antique and classic car show, a variety of food vendors and arts and crafts, and children’s activities that include a petting zoo, train rides, clown and pony rides.
