Holmes CC to host St. Jude’s benefit

Holmes Community College’s Goodman Campus will be the site of a “5K For A Kure” Run/Walk to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis on Tuesday, May 1 starting at 4 p.m. with registration set for 3 p.m.
Organizer and Goodman Campus student Grey Tedford said the race will be held on the Goodman Campus property. Cost of the race is $5 for students and $10 for others. Persons of all ages can participate. Medals will be given for male/female winners and for the oldest participant.
Tedford is attempting to become a St. Jude Hero. As a St. Jude Hero, He will be part of a community of people who commit to challenge themselves in endurance events while fundraising to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. According to the Hero site, “It's your race, but it's their victory. Do it for the kids of St. Jude, and make a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.”
