At the last city board meeting, three citizens expressed concerns and frustrations with the local municipal school district.
This week Alderman Aubry Brent Jr. took the time to show some positive accomplishments by recognizing Yazoo City senior Johnny Rucker.
“Mr. Ward, Mr. Brown and Mr. Fouche came in and were pretty tough on our public schools,” Brent said. “With this recognition today, I would like to remind the community...that some adults in the community need to step up to the plate. We have a lot of kids who are diamonds in the rough.”
