Way Cafe gets ready to mark 10th year
By VERNON SIKES
It promises to be a grand celebration. The Way Cafe’s 10th anniversary activities have been widely heralded, and from 3-5 p.m. today in First Baptist Church’s sanctuary, Yazooans will be able to participate in the excitement.
The Way Cafe’s youth will do a praise dance.
“We’re not really dancing,” said Jennifer Soenksen, a volunteer staffer at the Way Cafe. “We’re doing hand motions.”
Way Cafe’s director, Barbara Gennaro said Youth Minister and Associate Pastor Pamela Cameron of First United Methodist Church will be singing and playing her guitar, the First Presbyterian Church choir will sing, praise dancers from King Solomon Baptist Church will perform, the youth from Parkview Baptist Church will sing, the youth from the Word of Truth Full Gospel Church will do a skit, plus others will participate.
