Tuesday rain fells tree

Several trees around the county apparently fell due to water-soaked soil caused by Tuesday’s heavy rainfall. Pictured is Dean Johnson as he surveys the 80-foot tree that fell in his yard, located on East Broadway. Johnson said due to the falling hackberry, his residence experienced foundation damage, roof damage and sheet rock damage.Several trees around the county apparently fell due to water-soaked soil caused by Tuesday’s heavy rainfall.
