Melissa Leigh Holliman and Joseph NickelsDavid and Darlene Holliman of Brandon and the late Lynn Holliman announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Leigh Holliman, to Joseph Thach Nickels, son of Vick and Betty Nickels of Starkville.
Miss Holliman is the granddaughter of Geraldine and Braxton Henley of Pearl.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Bernice Nickels of Tunica.
Miss Holliman is a graduate of Delta State University, where she received her bachelor of accounting degree. She also received her masters degree in business administration from Mississippi College. She was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority.
She currently works as an accountant at White Construction Co. in Ridgeland.
Mr. Nickels is a graduate of Delta State University, where he earned the bachelor in general studies degree and the masters of education degree. He was a member of the Delta State University basketball team and is currently employed by Elavon.
The couple will be married at 6:30 p.m. May 12, 2012, in Saint Marks Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Green officiating the single-ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at Red Barn in Jackson.
