Supes get serious about sign theft, illegal dumping

By JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

Illegal dumping and theft of road signs is costing county taxpayers money, and Sheriff Jake Sheriff says it’s time to make an example out of someone.
Sheriff said his officers will be paying extra close attention to these two issues on their patrols.
District 2 Supervisor David Berry said he is plagued with problems in his district.
“I had 39 signs down at one time,” Berry said.
Berry said he fears an emergency responder could be delayed when trying to find a residence on a county road. In medical cases like heart attacks, minutes can be the difference between life and death.
