Miss Alison Cochran and Hamilton StevensJimmy and Connie Wheat of Petal and Mitch and Marcia Cochran of Hattiesburg announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alison Carol Cochran, to Hamilton Fredrick Stevens, son of W.F. and Charlotte Stevens of Benton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Herbert and Jean Rushton and the late Ollie and Hazel Cochran.
She graduated from Petal High School before earning her B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mississippi. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi.
She is a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, American Pharmacists Association and Mississippi Pharmacists Association.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Gerene Beard and the late Chuck Beard and Jimmy Stevens and the late Catherine Stevens.
He graduated from Benton Academy before earning his B.S. in Nursing from Mississippi College.
He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
He is currently employed as a registered nurse at Mississippi Home Care of Yazoo City.
The couple will be married on May 19, 2012 in Clinton, at Provine Chapel. Brother Russ Granberry, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, will officiate the double ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the Chapatoula Building.
