DOROTHY ACY
Dorothy Marie Ertle Acy, 68, died Tuesday, April 2, 2012.  
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Pearl. Burial followed at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
Mrs. Acy was born December 19,1943 in Yazoo County. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandson Aiden.  She lived her life loving everyone who came into her life and her good friends Cursteen Jones and Helen Walker, who she met years ago at her job.  Mother was true, fair, and one of the most honest people you would ever meet.  Her wishes when she got sick were to spend time with family along with others.  I am glad to say I was able to fulfill all of mom’s wishes.  She will always live in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild; sister, Marion Gray; and her parents, L.B. Ertle and Catherine Clarrice Graham Ertle.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Acy; children, William (Judy) Acy, Theresa (Anthony) Harthcock, and Danny (Denna) Acy; 13 grandchildren; three great-grands; sisters, Bessie Neil Roope and Mary Creech; brothers, David, Louis Ben, Charles, and Jerry Eugene Ertle; and two girls who were like daughters, Dawn Harrigill and Ouida Roberts.
Serving as pallbearers were Adam Connley, Zachary Acy, Ken Fears, Tyler Fears, Otto Worthy, Cory Worthy, Robbie Walker and Jeff Tyre.

JAMES COLLINS
James Edward Collins, 56, died March 28, 2012.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Greater Sonora M.B. Church with Rev. Tommy T. Brown officiating. Burial followed at Shady Grove M.B. Church Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was born Feb. 15, 1956 in Benton to Dave Collins Sr. and Harriet Hill Collins. He was the youngest of 10 children. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in Detroit before returning to Yazoo City in 2002. He was employed at DBC Corporation in Gluckstadt until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Carrie, Ella, Dave II and Mary B. Woods.
Survivors include his wife, Lesa Collins; three daughters, Jamessa Jones (Chauncy Smith) of Jackson, Jamecca Jones-Brown (Anthony) of Jackson and Timetha Caldwell (Walter) of Canton; a son, Anthony Henry of Canton; four sisters, Geneva Collins of Chicago, Anne Campbell (Howard) of Jackson, Hattie Hicks (Solomon) of Acworth, Ga. and Carolyn C. Lee of Yazoo City; a brother, Dave Collins III; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Clerk, Melvin Davis, James Ollie, James Ross, Everett Thompson and Kendrick White.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Anderson, Gregory Dortch, Ronnie Hall, Eddie Henry, Samuel Perkins and Robert Robinson.

MOZELLE GALLOWAY
Della Mozelle Steen Galloway, 85, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.  
Funeral services are today at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Burial will follow under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Galloway was born in Shady Grove and grew up in Kosciusko. She worked as a dental assistant for 20 years in Yazoo City before retiring.  She was an active member of First Baptist Church for 50 years. After retiring she was a Pink Lady volunteer at King’s Daughters Hospital before moving to Oxford. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she played a very active role in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Hermon Galloway and her parents Josie and Elmer Steen.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Nichols (Dale) of Brentwood, Tenn., Terri Sanford (Doug) of Oxford;  six grandchildren, Hunt Nichols (Laura), Mary Powers (Grier), Charlie Nichols (Lindsay) of Brentwood, Tenn., Amy Kremer (Adam) of Holland, Michigan, Anna Kathryn Sanford and Meredith Sanford of Oxford; and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Stewart (Dudley), Margie Moore (James) of Kosciusko.

PAUL NELSON Sr.
Paul E. Nelson Sr., 76, died March 29, 2012 at home.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Richard Jennings officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Nelson was born June 29, 1936 to Cordell Nelson and Frances Marie Milner. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Nelson; and two brothers, James Nelson and David Nelson.
Survivors include a son, Paul Nelson Jr. of Franklin, Tenn.; two daughters, Terri J. Pierce of Yazoo City and Annie C. Rasco of Yazoo City; a brother, Charles O. Nelson of Yazoo City; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ROSIE RICHARDSON
Rosie Lee Richardson, 95, died March 27, 2012 at Humphreys County Memorial Hospital in Belzoni.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Pleasant Hill M.B. Church in Louise with Rev. Willie E. Smith officiating. Burial followed at Love Feast M.B. Church Cemetery under the direction of Century Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richardson was born Nov. 10, 1916 in Louise to George Watkins and Fannie Hampton. She was a member of Pleasant Hill M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richardson.
Survivors include a daughter, Garnetta Morris of Louise; a son, James A. Barnes Sr. (Lina) of Detroit; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were J.W. Jones, Andrew Dent, Joseph White, Jerry Griffins, Roy Broomfield and Robert Purvis.
