Schools hit by flu epidemic

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

There is a flu epidemic in Yazoo with over 100 reported cases among local students.
Reported cases doubled within two days earlier this week as schools prepared with preventive measures.
Manchester Academy cancelled school Thursday because so many students were diagnosed with the flu. With the Good Friday holiday, headmaster Bryan Dendy said an extra day for recovery was necessary.
