Early on May 28, the day of the garden party, the debutantes attended a luncheon at The Alluvian in Greenwood.
Honorees were Lela Gillespie Gee-Boswell of Jackson; Margaret Fairfax Davis, Katie Elizabeth McShan and Sophie Davis Perkins, all of Columbus; and Katie Elizabeth Williams of Yazoo City.
Centered on the mantel of The Terrace Room was a large Copperworx container filled with boldly colored aspidistra, fatsia, hydrangeas, delphinium, bells of Ireland, and pink, yellow, and white roses. Small vases scattered around the room and on the terrace held bouquets of roses.
