Police still seek two parents from fight at school

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

One of the adults involved in the school fight among parents and students at Yazoo City High School has turned herself into the authorities.
Bessie Young was charged with simple assault, trespassing, disturbing the peace with profanity and disturbing the peace by fighting.
Capt. Tilmon Clifton said other warrants have also been issued for two other adults involved in the altercation.
“They know who they are, and they know there are warrants out,” Clifton said. “We are giving them the opportunity to turn themselves in to us. If not, we will pick them up by any means necessary.”
Clifton said more charges are also pending with the case.
