Nestled alone under the shade of a magnolia tree, she seems to know her worth.
Her outer appearance may look like it needs a little work. But her strength and timeless beauty make up for her weaknesses.
Perhaps that is why the Pugh Blundell house still captures the attention of so many people in Yazoo.
The historic home sits vacant at the corner of Powell and North streets. But there are big plans for her future. It will be completely renovated to its original charm thanks to a Mississippi Community Heritage Preservation grant from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
And it was the Restoration and Beautification Foundation that raised the necessary matching funds that will bring the Pugh Blundell house back to its former grandeur.
