Special election Tuesday

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Voters in the Southern District will return to the polls next week to elect their justice court judge.
A special election will be held Tuesday between Danny Neely and Bennie “Kay” Warrington for the Southern Justice Court District seat.
Of the 26 precincts in Yazoo County, 11 of those will vote in this upcoming election.
Neely, who is currently serving as judge, was ruled the winner over the incumbent judge by a single vote. Warrington successfully challenged the election in court.
