With two beloved employees retiring this week, things just won’t seem the same at Ricks Memorial Library.
Maggie Rollins ended her remarkable 45-year tenure at the local library this week.
And Karen Dunaway, who has been at the library for the past six years, began her retirement Tuesday afternoon.
It was a bittersweet moment Monday morning as library employees presented Rollins and Dunaway with kind words and a delicious cake.
“We couldn’t have been here without both of you,” said Sherry Anderson, library director. “And just think when there is another pretty day like this, you can be outside and reading a book.”
