The Yazoo Herald earned 13 awards in the editorial division Mississippi Press Association’s 2009 Better Newspaper Contest.
Winners were announced Saturday in Tunica at the MPA’s annual convention.
Herald reporter Jamie Patterson and managing editor Jason Patterson earned a first place award for Best In Depth/Investigative Reporting for their continuing coverage of property ordinance issues in Yazoo City.
