Before the drug deal could even be completed, officers had the would-be buyer in handcuffs.
Darien McCoy was charged with the transfer of crack cocaine.
Cpt. Tilmon Clifton said observant officers noticed the drug deal in progress Wednesday at the BP gas station on Grand Avenue.
“Officers noticed him making a drug transfer, and they were able to immediately arrest him,” Clifton said. “He was actually even on probation at the time for similar drug charges.”
With a Mississippi Department of Correction hold on him, McCoy remained in jail as of press time.
