Miss Hosea to wed Walker on May 26

Miss Morgan Hosea and Sonny WalkerMiss Morgan Hosea and Sonny WalkerMr. and Mrs. Lewis Sanford Hosea, of Rome, Ga., announce the engagement of Morgan Rebecca Hosea to Sonny Christopher Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wallace Walker Jr., of Cartersville, Ga. Miss Hosea is the daughter of Mr. Hosea and the late Mrs. Rebecca Musser Hosea.  
Miss Hosea is a 2010 graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology. While there, she was inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. She is employed by Reformed Theological Seminary of Jackson Admissions Office as an Admissions Counselor.
The bride-elect is the sister of Margaret Ann Hosea, of Rome, Ga.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mead, of Pawley’s Island, S.C., Dr. and Mrs. Paul Morgan Musser, of New Wilmington, Pa., and Mrs. Ruby White Lusk, of Cartersville, Ga.
Walker is a 2009 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. He is currently employed as the College Ministry Intern at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
The groom-elect is the brother of Mr. Chadwin Hayes Walker, of Cartersville, Ga.  He is the grandson of Mr. Floyd Wallace Walker Sr., of Vaughan, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Hayes Guthrie, of Canton, MS, and the late Mrs. Peggy June Walker.
A wedding ceremony is planned for May 26, 2012, at Berry College Chapel.

Letters to the editor

Dear Editor:
In the 6 April 2013 edition of The Yazoo Herald you published a letter from Cynthia Fuller, "Thanks to (Van) Foster for helping get bridge replaced."
After reading this lettter, I had the impression that the bridge was completed and traffic was moving along normally.  
Wrong!  Last Sunday I was on my way to homecoming at Providence Baptist Church.  I turned north onto old 49 and saw the signs that the bridge was out.  I assumed that they hadn't gotten around to removing the signs.  I expected to cross Thompson Creek on the new bridge.  When I approached the creek the road was barricaded and construction equipment was down in the creek.
Perhaps The Herald can keep us updated as to the progress being made on the new bridge.
