Yazoo City’s very own Barbeque Princess Leslie Roark Scott, of Ubons Barbeque, was declared the champion of the third round in Food Network’s Chopped Grill Masters. She will now compete for $50,000  on Aug 11 at 9 p.m.

The Yazoo Chamber of Commerce welcomed Rose's Downtown Bakery and Tea Room this week. Talented local chef Pat Cheatham has added the Tea Room, which will serve lunch Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sean Johnson, the newly elected president of the Yazoo City Rotary Club, thanks outgoing president Rebecca Yeates for her service to the club. Johnson is the CEO of Baptist Medical Center Yazoo.
