Miss Kayla Carter and Jordan DavisFranky and Michele Carter of Yazoo City are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kayla Nicole Carter, to Jordan Michael Davis, son of Mike and Ellen Davis of Benton.
Miss Carter is the granddaughter of Ada Carter and the late Bud Carter of Bentonia and JoAnna Rivers and the late Larry Rivers of Satartia.
She is the great granddaughter of Elizabeth Lowery of Satartia.
She is currently attending nursing school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Davis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Davis of Benton and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ingram of Vaughan.
He is currently attending Holmes Community College, pursuing a heating and air conditioning degree.
The couple will be married on July 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church.
The Rev. Andy May and Jon Vanlandingham will officiate the double-ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the church.
