Although Rick Santorum won the state primary for the Republican party, the majority of Yazoo voters supported Mitt Romney.
Unofficial results show Romney gained 702 votes in Yazoo County.
Santorum was close behind with 682 votes. And Newt Gingrich was two votes behind him with 680 votes.
