The Benton Garden Club met at the Benton Methodist Church on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Jean Saja, a Master Gardener who lives in Raymond, presented a program on butterfly gardens. Mrs. Saja was certified as a Master Gardener in South Carolina from Clemson University Extension Service in 2000.
The hostesses for March were Michie McGraw, Maudine Trammell and Paulette Davis.
Beautiful salad plates were served, along with a delightful dessert.
The tables were decorated with bright and beautiful potted plants. The white table cloths were displayed with colorful napkins tied with playful butterfly suckers, secured with burlap string.
All of the details helped to create a spring-like atmosphere in the room.
At the conclusion of the program a door prize was awarded to the person having the winning number.
