Chancery Clerk Quint Carver reports that all five of Yazoo County’s election commissioners are properly certified.
During the Board of Supervisors meeting Monday the board questioned why certificates of training were only being presented for District 1 and District 2.
Carver said he learned after the meeting that only two commissioners were supposed to represent Yazoo County at this particular training, and all five election commissioners have received all of their required training.
“They are completely certified,” Carver said.
Yazoo County’s election commissioners are:
District 1: Billy Quimby
District 2: Virginia Mathews
District 3: Gretta Winters
District 4: Sylvia Vandevere
District 5: Mattie Washington
