Primary elections set for Tuesday

By JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

Yazoo County voters will head to the polls Tuesday to select presidential and U.S. Senate candidates in the Republican primary and candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House District 2 in the Democratic primary.
"My anticipation is that we will have a moderate turnout,” said Circuit Clerk Robert Coleman. “We haven't had a lot of people in my office for absentee ballots."
GOP candidates Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul will be joined on the ballot by Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, Gary Johnson and Rick Perry on the GOP ballot.
