Supervisor says park must be protected

By JASON PATTERSON
Editor & Publisher

District 3 Supervisor Willie “Deuce” Wright said he supports the efforts to upgrade homes for residents at Fouche Apartments, but only if the project doesn’t interfere with the baseball fields at Campanella Park.
Wright, who has volunteered as a coach and worked as an official at the park for years, said he will do everything in his power to prevent the baseball fields from being affected.
“Not every kid can go to the Wardell Leach Complex,” Wright said. “Campenella Park serves a community that needs it most.”
