Donna Beliech, Area Horticulturist with the Mississippi State Extension Service, conducted a program on “Ornamental Grasses for the Midsouth Landscape” at the Benton Garden Club on Feb. 4.
Hostesses for the meeting were Golda Luse and Patty Barbour.  
Festive Mardi Gras decorations adorned the tables.  
Members and guests were requested to come dressed with the Mardi Gras theme in mind.   
A contest was held for the best dressed for the theme and first and second place prizes were awarded.  
A delicious brunch was served.  
At the conclusion of the program, prizes were given to approximately a dozen winners of a word game.
It was a very fun-filled and memorable morning.
