It was windy Thursday afternoon, but otherwise it was a perfect day to go fishing.
Gloria Harris had the day off, so she and her son Daniel decided to go see if the perch were biting. They bought some minnows and drove over to a favorite spot, the lake on Miss. Highway 3 that most Yazooans know as “the welfare hole.”
While they were fishing, Gloria kept noticing a bobber floating in the water. It looked as good as new, and she was able to bring it right up to the edge of the bank using a stick.
