City and county officials meet

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

City and county officials held their first meeting together since the city suspended its payments to the county with any interlocal agreements.
Detailed discussions were held, but many agreements required more consideration for a later meeting.
“We have discussed concerns about some agreements we had with the county,” said Mayor McArthur Straughter, during the joint meeting Friday morning. “It was suggested that we get back with a full board today.”
