New building planned for Bentonia-Gibbs sixth graders

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Superintendent Becky Fisher said she is ready to implement a new vision to revitalize the Yazoo County School District.
Entering her second month as leader of the district, Fisher has made several announcements within the community over the last few weeks to show what direction she would like to take the district.
“Change has to happen,” Fisher said, at a recent PTO meeting. “If you stay stagnant, you don’t grow. Things happen for a reason.”
