City leaders frustrated with annexation progress

By JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Annexation plans are still up in the air as city leaders debate on their next step in the lengthy process.
For the past several years, the Board of Mayor and Alderman have conducted surveys and studies concerning annexation for Yazoo City. Board members have been very vocalĀ  about pulling certain areas, many which are provided city services, into the city limits.
Now some board members have expressed frustration over the entire project.
Slaughter & Associates has been working with the city over the years with the annexation procedure.
