Mrs. Leola Dillard can be seen from time to time on her front porch at her home on Grand Avenue.
She seems like any other Southern lady, with her hair set perfect and her face shining with charm. Fanning herself, she will wave at passing cars from time to time or speak to a walker heading down the street.
But there is so much more going on in Mrs. Leola’s head on those lazy days. She is constantly thinking of how to give back to the community, to the people and to the world.
She is more than a kind lady. She is a giver and a sign of hope in a world that is flying by her.
“I have seen so much in my life,” she said. “But I just wish that people would be kind to one another and show love.”
