Yazooans invited to unite in prayer in series of events

Rev. George WoodliffRev. George WoodliffBy JASON PATTERSON

A group of local ministers believe what Yazoo needs more than anything is the power of prayer.
On Sunday they’re offering that opportunity, and they hope like-minded Yazooans will join them.
“I feel that the timing is right for this,” said Rev. George Woodliff, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church. “There is a great need for this community to come together in prayer.”
The Yazoo Ministerial Association is sponsoring Pray Yazoo 2012, a series of four prayer and praise events. The first of those will be Sunday at First Baptist Church at 4 p.m. with Woodliff officiating.
