If dogs could talk, four-year-old Daga would have quite a story to tell.
The family pet survived the deadly April tornado inside a house that was destroyed. He even guarded the damaged home when the storm passed.
Daga was believed to be dead after the tornado. But he remained at his home guarding it from looters, intruders and even rescue personnel.
The lovable pooch was later reunited with his owners at a Red Cross station.
“That was my boy,” said Wendy Riley, Daga’s owner. “He took care of his family and home.”
