THETIS FULLER
Thetis Sadler Fuller, 91, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.   
Funeral services were Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson with Rev. David Warren and her nephew, Buzzy Cummings, officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fuller; son-in-law, Frank Betts; parents, Richard S. Sadler and Amanda Martin Sadler; and siblings, Curtis Sadler, Myra Sadler, Doris Hilderbrand, Glenda Sadler, Aletha Cummings, Ollie Lee Hancock, Camille Renicker, Rena Hilderbrand and Charlene Lancaster.
Survivors include her daughters, Arlene Johnson of Atlanta, Ga. and Mary Anderson (Andy) of Flowood; grandchildren, Frank Betts (Robbie) Santa Ynez, Calif., Marcia Huffman (Marty) Amory, Jay Anderson, Florence and Michelle Hoffman (Greg) Brandon;  great-grandchildren, Stephanie Guzman, Trey Betts, Colton Betts, Reagan Huffman, Drew Huffman, Hailey Anderson, Harlie Anderson and Cody Anderson; great-great-granddaughter, Ava Williamson;  and three sister-in-laws, Dorothy Sadler, Ruth Knightand Ruby Sanders.
Mrs. Fuller was born in Yazoo County on June 10, 1920. She was a retired nurse and a resident of Flowood and a member of River of Life Assembly of God at the Reservoir and Aglow International Ministries.

BARBARA McCALL
Barbara Ann McCall, 71, died Oct. 18, 2011.
Celebration of Life has been postponed due to Barbara’s daughter-in-law’s heart problems.  At this time, the Celebration has been tentatively set for Saturday, Apr. 14 at 3 p.m. in observation of her birthday.  The celebration will take place in Yazoo City at the Glenwood Cemetery for graveside services only.   For further information, call 832-595-7110 or e-mail ejbeard10@msn. com.
Mrs. McCall was born in Yazoo City on April 18, 1940, the second of three girls. She grew up in  Louise. Upon graduation from high school, she attended Mississippi Delta Jr. College, where she received her business certificate and was later employed by a bank in Jackson.  At the time of her retirement, she was employed by a nursing home corporation as the Medicare Compliance Vice President.  Her work took her to points throughout the United States. Her greatest concern was for the welfare of the patients in these facilities.
During the year-long battle with lung and brain cancer, she never lost faith and rested in the peace she gained through her faith. Her prayer was to be healed so that she could care for her husband Herb, who had been a cancer patient for 12 years, and her foster grandson, Jose, a senior in high school.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Herbert McCall; her parents, Malcolm and Vera Rountree; and  a younger sister, Ella Faye (R,) Arnold.  
Survivors include her son, Barry Givens (Chris) of Merritt Island, Fla.; three grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandria and Bobby Givens also of Florida; Jose Conterero, foster grandson, who now resides in Raleigh, N.C. with family members; her sister, Erma Jean R. Beard of West Columbia, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
At the time of her husband’s diagnosed cancer, they resided in Horn Lake, where she served on the Board of Alderman for seven years.  She resigned her position and retired from her job when it became apparent that they would need to move to Texas to be near M. D. Anderson Cancer Center for her husband’s treatments.  At the time of their deaths, Barbara and Herbert resided in Missouri City, Texas.  

WILLIAM PARKER Jr.
William R. “Bill” Parker Jr., 85, a former Yazoo County resident, died Jan. 10, 2012 at home in Diamondhead after a battle with cancer.
Funeral services were Friday at Diamondhead Community Church. Burial followed at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Kerens, Texas to William R. and Ruth Jones Parker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Pacific Theater. He was involved in computer systems from their infancy and retired as resident manager from Sperry Univac (now Unisys) in 1984 after 35 years with the company. He was involved with bringing sophisticated computer systems to Mississippi Chemical Corporation and Yazoo Valley Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Cornelia “Connie” Parker; daughters, Karen Guillot of Port Allen, La. and Ruth Anne Gryder of Pride, La.; adopted son, Michael of Baton Rouge, La.; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jaleen Saulter of Nederland, Texas, Marie Cornelius of Hillister, Texas and Carol Cowan of Chester, Ill.

JIMMY PICKENS
Jimmy Dale Pickens, 67, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services are today at 11 a.m. at  First Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Broome officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Pickens was born Jan. 6, 1945 in Marvell, Ark. to James S. and Opal Strawn Pickens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a farmer and harvester and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Pickens,  and an infant baby.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Sue Pickens; two sons, Allen Pickens (Jenni) and Richard Pickens (Valerie); a sister, Jana Trillet (Kennith); father, James Pickens; two grandsons, Chris Pickens and Garrett Pickens; and a granddaughter, KaRaye Pickens.
Serving as pallbearers are David Parker, John Donaldson, Levern Collins, Paul Adams III, Paul Parker Jr. and Sonny Stubblefield.
Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Erickson, Michael McCain, Gary Counts, Pat Rush, John Fouche, Bryan Dendy, Nick King, Robert Vandevere and Wayne Allen Jr.

CARLA SHIPMAN
Carla Faith Magrette-Shipman, 51, of Little Rock, Ark., died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012.
Funeral services were Sunday at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Magrette and Dot Duncan; and her sister, Judy Hunt.
Survivors include her husband, David Shipman; daughters, Courtney Roberts and Nichole Barr; sons in-law, Dave And Jimmy; grandchildren, Timothy, Katelyn, Britney and Dexter; sisters, Vicki and Patricia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

BOBBY WALLACE Jr.
Bobby Gene “Bob” Wallace Jr., 54, of Lexington died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at home.
Funeral services were Saturday at First Baptist Church in Richland with Rev. Tony Wilmoth and Rev. R.C. Rice officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Wallace was born Nov. 6, 1957 in Birmingham, Ala. to Bobby Gene Wallace Sr. and Jacqueline Rickman Wallace. He was the co-owner of American Automotive and a member of Harlan’s Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, William E. Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Wallace of Lexington; son, Paul Wallace of Pearl; daughter, Virginia “Sissie” Hasie of Florence, Ala.; three stepchildren, Tony Wilmoth of Birmingham, Ala., Russell Wilmoth of Pearl and Dona Reddick of Pearl; father, Bobby G. Wallace Sr. of Richlands, N.C.; sister, Sonya Rouse of Goldsburg, N.C.; and 14 grandchildren.

MABEL WILLINGHAM
Mabel Claire Willingham, 55, of Gloster, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La.
Funeral services were Sunday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with Dr. Dennis Johnsey officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville.
Ms. Willingham was born July 13, 1956 in Yazoo City to Charles Olen Willingham and Florence McKey Willingham. She was a beautician, a CNA and a member of Centreville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and two infant brothers.
Survivors include her mother, Florence McKey Willingham; brothers, Charles “Willie Jack” Olen Willingham III  (Robin) of Rolling Fork, Johnny Willingham and fiance Brenda of Gloster and  Jack Willingham (Shelby) of Yazoo City; and numerous nieces and nephews.                                         
Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Willingham, Rodney Willingham, Jack Willingham, David McKey, Buddy McKey, Randy McKey, Danny McKey, and Lewis Morgan.
