Man guilty of starving horses

RossRossBy JAMIE PATTERSON
Managing Editor

A Yazoo County man who was charged with keeping 15 starving horses was found guilty in Justice Court last week.
Alvin Ross was found guilty of nine counts of confining an animal without food.
Justice Court Judge Pam May also ordered Ross to relinquish all rights of the animals.
The case has made headlines over the last several weeks after a pasture in Little Yazoo was discovered with starving horses and the carcasses of several other horses.
